Season 1
The Loader Family purchased the farm in January of 2019. The existing high bush blueberry field needed some major TLC. The cleanup & pruning started in February and continues. Laura looks after the blueberry bushes while her husband Dan and son Adam look after the rest of the property. 2019 was a learning year for us, pick your own was limited to friends and family. The great success of our blueberries makes us excited for season two! Dan, Laura and Adam LoaderSeason 2
For 2020 we are looking to grow our business, clearing the 2nd half of the blueberry field. For Season 2 we will now open up the field to anyone wishing to come and pick, while still offering already picked blueberries for sale. Picking will be free. We simply ask that you pick a 2nd container for every container that you wish to take home, and leave the 2nd for us.Seasons 3-5
Pick your own will again be offered, check our Instagram page for updates on picking days and times. Picking will continue to be offered for free – we simply ask that you pick a 2nd container (of equal size) for every container that you wish to take home, and leave the 2nd for us. If you do not wish to pick two, then the cost is $5 per pint, the choice is yours. Bring your own containers! We did not have enough pails coming back which became quite a cost, so starting in 2022 for the free pick option we will now charge 25 cents for every pint of berries you take home if you don’t bring your own container. All Organic
Our bushes are hand pruned and left to Mother Nature to nurture and grow, we do not apply any chemicals. A 250ml (1 cup) serving of blueberries contains just 40 calories, and virtually no fat.-
